The TMC Transit Center Redesign reimagines a high-traffic multimodal hub serving bus, light rail, and vehicular circulation within the Texas Medical Center district. The project focused on improving pedestrian safety, circulation clarity, and the overall public realm experience within a complex transportation environment.
Through detailed site and movement analysis, key conflict points between buses, private vehicles, and pedestrians were identified. Working closely with traffic engineers, the design team developed strategies to reorganize crossings, enhance visibility, and improve operational flow while prioritizing safe and intuitive pedestrian movement.
